My What I Wore Inspired Post

So as you lovely readers know, I’m obsessed with the blog What I Wore. I mentioned how I’ve been trying new things and incorporating some different things (you know, the kind of stuff I’m in love with, but everyone else thinks is ugly!) into my look mainly because of how much I love this blog! So here is my What I Wore dedicated/inspired post.

Why: Because I was bored on a Saturday afternoon.

What: Cardigan: Target.
Shirt: The Gap
Skirt: Target? On major sale. I think I paid $4.
Scarf: Forever 21?
Tights: Target. They’re amazing. Super thick and warm!
Jewelry: Necklaces; Lagos (long) Kim Last Designs (short). Bracelets; Rebecca Minkoff (blue leather), Lagos.
Sunglasses: Coach, birthday gift
Shoes: Etienne Aigner, DSW a few years ago

The Look: I’ve had these gorgeous Berry colored opaque tights for a while, and I was just waiting for the perfect time to test them out, which happened to be today. They’re bold and definitely look-at-me, but with the neutral palette of this outfit, I think I can handle it. I’m ready to make these a permanent fixture in my wardrobe. Jessica of What I Wore ALWAYS wears some kind of awesome, patterned or colored tight, so that part of the look was definitely inspired by her.

I was hanging out inside while my sister was snapping these pictures (she’s not a bad photographer, for 15 years old) but we decided to head to the backyard and see how things were looking there. I threw on my favorite cream colored scarf and sunglasses, and that completed the look! This cardigan is an old favorite, I found it at Target last year for $7. I wear it everywhere: to the library, to class, when I’m home in my sweats, and now with this skirt and tights ensemble! Definitely a versatile favorite of mine, and I keep finding ways to breathe new life into it!

So there you have it, my What I Wore inspired post.
