Anna Paquin at the 2010 Emmy Awards

Anna Paquin, everyone’s favorite vampire-loving Southern belle, looked phenomenal at the 2010 Emmy Awards in a dramatic Alexander McQueen number.

At awards shows, there are always beautiful women floating across the red carpet in beautiful dresses, but I was immediately drawn to this dress because it’s not like anything I’ve ever seen on the red carpet before (perhaps because it is McQueen). There’s always a ton of Marchesa, Versace, Oscar de la Renta, etc. and while these dresses are always breathtakingly beautiful, I prefer this look.

Anna Paquin looks equal parts glamorous and fierce. I hate to use that word because I think it’s a bit cliche, but that is the perfect description for this dress. The bust reminds me of a sexy version of Viking armor, with a bit of Ancient Egyptian Princess mixed in. It’s flawless.

Met Gala 2010

I find that typically, the Met Gala is one of the best dressed events of the year. Everyone is always looking their best, even more so than the Academy Awards, Grammys, etc. The Met Gala invariably brings out a certain classiness and elegance in everyone in attendance. After all, it is hosted by Anna Wintour. This year is also bound to be one of the best … Lady Gaga is performing!

Here were my favorite ladies of the evening:

Just Jared

This was definitely my favorite look of the evening. This Marc Jacobs dress from his f/w 2010 collection looks stunning on Nicole Richie. PERFECTION.

Emma Robets in Marni.

Kirsten Dunst in my (and her) favorite, Rodarte. This dress is just heavenly.

Just Jared

Kate Bosworth in Valentino. This is so elegant, so old Hollywood glamour. Her hair is amazing.

Just Jared

Taylor Swift in Ralph Lauren. This dress is sweet, chic, and totally age appropriate. I love it.

SJP is dazzling in Halston.

More updates to come as more pictures get posted! So far, it looks like nude/neutrals are the ‘it’ shades of the 2010 Met Gala!

Sandra Bullock – 2010 Academy Awards

Sandra Bullock dazzled at the Oscars in a shimmering, golden Marchesa number.

I took one look at Sandra on the red carpet, and I knew it had to be Marchesa. Georgina Chapman is amazing, as this dress proves. The gold must have been a good luck charm because Sandra took home her very own gold statue for her Best Actress for the role in The Blindside. Her acceptance speech was tearful and appreciative. It was so nice to see her being awarded at this level since she’s best known for her comedic roles. She was amazing in The Blindside, and it’s such an inspiring story. Congratulations, Sandra.

Sarah Jessica Parker – 2010 Academy Awards

Sarah Jessica Parker looks incredible in this Chanel creation!

Only SJP could pull off a dress this major. It’s very avant garde, very Chanel, very SJP. Absolutely everything about this dress is so unique, so naturally.. I love this look. The details are amazing, especially the neckline. And the bustle in the back is gorgeous! This isn’t something that anyone could wear though… only someone as iconic and fearless as Sarah Jessica Parker!

Rachel McAdams – 2010 Academy Awards

My favorite look of the evening so far: Rachel McAdam in this Elie Saab Haute Couture gown.

Rachel McAdams is gorgeous, and this dress is perfect on her. This is definitely my favorite look so far. The silhouette is very ethereal and Grecian, but the watercolor pattern keeps it from looking ordinary (as if Rachel McAdams could look ordinary). I’m also loving her simple hair and natural makeup.

A+ !

Anne Hathaway Sparkles at the Premiere of Alice in Wonderland

Anne Hathaway looked dazzling in a chic, sparkling, taupe Vivienne Westwood frock at the premiere of Alice in Wonderland.

I love Vivienne Westwood. The neckline of this dress is somewhat her trademark. Most V.W. gowns have this type of structured detail. I also love the idea of wearing a full on sequined dress in a neutral shade, like this taupe/brown. Brown is definitely not a popular red carpet color, but it looks great on Anne Hathaway. I’m also loving her dark eye makeup and her rosy lip. A definite compliment to the dress. She always looks so glamorous on every red carpet she walks!

Also: ONE WEEK til Alice & Wonderland hits theaters. I’m beyond excited.

Golden Globes’ Best Dressed

With the Golden Globes yesterday, Awards Season is officially upon us. These shows are as much about the dresses as they are the winners. Does anyone remember what won Best Picture the year Kate Winslet wore that STUNNING blue Badgley Mischka? No. We remember the dress. (That dress is still one of my all time favorite red carpet moments).

While I may not watch every second of the show, I LOVE watching recaps like E!’s Fashion Police with the hilarious, ridiculous Joan Rivers. I’ll admit that I didn’t catch much of the Globes. It’s not very ‘fashion blogger’ of me, but yesterday I was watching the JETS win a playoff game, if you knew how rare this is, you would not blame me. However, I DID get to see what everyone was wearing. And the ladies were looking quite lovely!

Kate Winslet looking gorgeous in another Yves Saint Laurent number. In my book, she can do no wrong on the Red Carpet.

This nude Atelir Versace number is dazzling on Jennifer Garner. Reminds me of one of my favorite Anne Hathaway looks.

Jennifer Aniston has NEVER looked better. This Valentino frock is perfect for her. And with arm candy like GERARD BUTLER……

Glee’s Dianna Agron looks so ethereal and just pretty in this Reem Acra. I love her hair. Everything about this is understated, simple and perfect!

These were my four favorite looks in the evening. Who did you love?
