Vena Cava Fall 2010 RTW – New York Fashion Week

Vena Cava’s Fall 2010 collection was all about… the black! All of these looks are anchored by moody, dramatic, well-cut black pieces. I’m loving the vintage nods (the hat, the fur, the fishnets etc) mixed with the tribal edge that Vena Cava is known for.

Designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock said that the hats by Yestadt Milliner were inspired by forest rangers. They drew inspiration for the rest of the collection from Woodstock. While I’m not sure if I see that translated on the runway, I still love this. The luxurious touches, like the fur, are something new from the designing duo. And any collection based on black is a winner in my book.
